Bayern Munich attacker Arjen Robben denies that he is the best player in the world.

Bayern Munich attacker Arjen Robben has played down suggestions that he is currently the best player in the world.

Following Robben's double against Augsburg at the weekend, former Bayern striker Karl-Heinz Rummenigge claimed that the Dutch international was the top player in world football.

However, Robben has played down the German's comments.

"Did Rummenigge say I'm the best in the world? Well, I don't think that's right, to be honest," the 30-year-old told the Bundesliga's official website.

Robben has scored 10 goals in 17 games for Bayern this season.
