Sebastian Rode has declared himself pleased with the progress he has made during his first season with Bayern Munich.
Despite often being on the fringes of the side since joining from Eintracht Frankfurt last summer, Rode has impressed when given opportunities by Pep Guardiola in midfield.
The 24-year-old believes that playing under the Spaniard has been key to his form, and he is keen to make further improvements as Bayern continue their bid for a treble.
"It was the same when I moved from Offenbach to Frankfurt when no one thought I'd make as quick a breakthrough as I did," Rode told the Bundesliga website. "So I want to prove myself again at Bayern. I'm still in the process of doing that, but so far everything's gone really well. That makes me a little bit proud.
"You can learn a lot from a coach like [Guardiola]. He prepares himself meticulously for each upcoming opponent, irrespective of who they are.
"He was also a midfielder so it's twice as good for me. He's been able to teach me a few things, in terms of how and where I should be moving out on the pitch."
Rode has played 22 times in all competitions this season.
