Bayern Munich have reportedly targeted Bochum's midfield starlet Leon Goretzka.
The 17-year-old has earned rave reviews for his performances for the Bundesliga 2 side, scoring one goal in his 10 appearances so far.
Manchester United, Arsenal and Real Madrid have all been credited with an interest in the youngster, labelled the 'next Michael Ballack'.
According to German newspaper Die Welt, Bayern sporting director Mattias Sammer has already met with Goretzka to discuss a possible move.
However, Sammer's Bochum counterpart Jens Todt has denied that a deal is in the offing.
"We absolutely do not plan to give up Leon," said Todt. "He should play for Bochum for many more years."
Goretzka is a German Under-19 international.
