Bayern Munich chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has revealed that the Bundesliga champions may have to act fast if they want to sign Marco Reus.
Reus was in fine form for Borussia Dortmund last season, scoring 16 times and providing 13 assists in the league alone.
The 25-year-old suffered a ligament injury that kept him out of Germany's World Cup squad, though Bayern may still act and bring the player in before he is snapped up by a European rival.
"I like to give myself a year in advance to make transfer decisions," Rummenigge told Bild when asked about Reus. "But this cannot be done in football any more.
"In the past we have tried to clarify our transfers early, but today the philosophy is different."
The player's agent recently revealed that a number of Europe's top clubs are interested in Reus.
