Bayern Munich are reportedly plotting a move for Borussia Dortmund defender Mats Hummels, which could see Mario Gotze also head back to his former side.
The £23m-rated centre-back, who has been heavily linked with a switch to the Premier League of late, is expected to make a decision on his future in the coming weeks.
Hummels came through Bayern's famed youth ranks before breaking into the first team at the Allianz Arena in 2007, but he departed for Dortmund the following year where he has since become a regular in defence.
Compatriot Gotze headed in the opposite direction in 2013, meanwhile, and it is claimed by The Sun that a deal involving both players could be on the cards this summer.
Speaking earlier this week, the father of Germany international Hummels admitted that a move back to Munich should not be ruled out.
World Cup final matchwinner Gotze has made just 22 appearances in all competitions this season for club and country, which is said to have left him feeling unsettled.
