Bayern Munich are allegedly contemplating whether to make a formal approach for Juventus goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny.

With Manuel Neuer remaining sidelined with a broken leg and Yann Sommer potentially moving elsewhere, the Bundesliga champions are in the market for a new stopper.

Given the fee that they will have to shell out on Tottenham Hotspur forward Harry Kane, a value-for-money option is preferable, and it appears that they may move for a vastly-experienced number one.

According to La Repubblica, Juventus and Bayern have held conversations regarding a potential deal for the Poland international.

The Italian giants are allegedly open to doing business for a player who has made 217 appearances during his six-year stint in Turin.

Although the 33-year-old has a contract until 2024, Juventus are eager to reduce their outgoings and generate funds, making it plausible that the former Arsenal man could leave this summer.

Meanwhile, Wolverhampton Wanderers are reportedly interested in securing a deal for Real Betis midfielder Guido Rodriguez.

On Tuesday afternoon, head coach Julen Lopetegui indicated in an interview with Guillem Balague that Wolves were still required to sell players before they can sign any fresh faces for 2023-24.

That is despite in excess of £85m having already been raised, yet it appears that the Premier League outfit do have targets in mind if they are able to further boost their position with FFP.

According to Estadio Deportivo, Wolves have made contact with their counterparts at Betis to establish what fee would be required to sign the 29-year-old.

Betis sporting director Antonio Cordon is allegedly keen to recoup as much as €20m (£17.1m), despite the Argentina international having less than 12 months remaining on his contract.

While Wolves are well stocked for central midfielders, the report claims that Lopetegui wants to sign at least one more defensive midfielder before the end of August.

Moving to the East Midlands, Nottingham Forest are seemingly keen to get a deal over the line for Monaco defender Ismail Jakobs.

Steve Cooper has already moved to secure the services of versatile wide player Ola Aina on a free transfer, with the former Chelsea man representing an option down each flank.

Nevertheless, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Forest are expected to sign Jakobs in the coming days with talks said to be at an advanced stage.

The Senegal international has struggled to hold down a regular spot at the Ligue 1 side in his two years at Stade Louis II, with 52 of his 74 appearances coming from the substitutes' bench.

Jakobs, who is 23 years of age, still has three years left on his contract, leaving Monaco in a strong position to receive their desired fee. body check tags ::
