Kevin Mirallas is hopeful that Belgium can 'continue to make history' when they take on USA in Salvador tomorrow night.
The Red Dragons, who progressed through Group H with a 100% record, are looking to better their previous World Cup best of 1986 when they finished fourth.
"It is true we are making history and I hope that all the team is ready to continue doing so," Mirallas is quoted as saying by the Daily Star ahead of the last-16 clash with the United States. "We hope that we can continue as we have been doing.
"We are more excited than nervous. It is the first time for most of us on this stage but we know the whole country is behind us."
Belgium are competing in their first World Cup campaign for 12 years.
