Joaquin has returned to the club that he joined in 1994, and the former Spanish international 'hopes this is the beginning of many days of happiness'.
"I have to thank the fans and Betis because I know the great effort they made for me to be a player here again," Joaquin said at his official unveiling.
"It's been difficult, hard weeks, but I'm where I will be happy and my family will be happy. I hope this is the beginning of many days of happiness."
Almost 20,000 Betis fans turned out to see Joaquin's official presentation on Tuesday.
