Former Blackburn Rovers defender Henning Berg believes that the club's owners, Venky's, are behind the Lancashire outfit's demise.
Steve Kean's side were relegated to the Championship after suffering a 1-0 defeat to Wigan Athletic at Ewood Park last night.
"Every club can be relegated, but the way Blackburn has changed since Venky's have taken over as owners has been very frustrating for every Blackburn supporter," Berg told talkSPORT.
"When Venky's came in they wanted to play more attacking football and thought Sam Allardyce wasn't good enough. They brought Steve Kean in but, in the end, they didn't have a good enough team.
"I can't see how they can go on like they are at the moment. With the protests, the uncertainty and the frustration, it's not been like that for any other club. Venky's have to come out and say how they're going to get the club promoted, or sell it to someone else."
The Indian-based company bought the club in November 2010.
