Blackburn Rovers are keen to appoint Sven-Goran Eriksson as a director of football at Ewood Park, according to The Mirror.
The Swede is currently out of work after he was sacked by Leicester City last month.
It is believed that the 63-year-old could take over from under-fire manager Steve Kean if the Scot is dismissed by the board.
Fans have repeatedly called for Kean to be relieved of his duties after a poor start to the season.
