Blackburn Rovers co-owner Venkatesh Rao has claimed that the club's board has never lost confidence in manager Steve Kean.
Rovers achieved their first victory of the season yesterday afternoon with a 4-3 win over Arsenal at Ewood Park.
Before the match a number of supporters protested in an attempt to have Kean removed from his position, but Rao has insisted that the manager's job is safe.
"We have not doubted his ability at all," Rao told Sky Sports News. "We would like to congratulate him.
"I think the club and the fans, at the end of the day, were quite happy and how can I say, if they are happy, we are happy."
Kean has been in charge of Rovers since December 2010.
