Blackburn Rovers manager Gary Bowyer has refused to rule out a top-six finish this season following yesterday's goalless draw against Bournemouth.
Rovers frustrated their opponents to claim a share of the spoils at Dean Court and are now 14 points off a playoff spot in the Championship.
Despite the gap, which may grow even further with promotion-chasing rivals Norwich City and Ipswich Town meeting later today, Bowyer is confident in his side's ability following their battling display against the Cherries.
"We are the first team to come here this season to get a clean sheet and stop them from scoring," he is quoted as saying by Sky Sports News. "I thought tactically we were spot on and our organisation was excellent.
"Mathematically it is still possible but when you come here you take what you can get. We have some real firepower in our team but unfortunately we have not got the goal that could have won the game. We could have won the game and we had some chances at the end."
Blackburn return to action in midweek when they face Sheffield Wednesday at Hillsborough.
