Paul Lambert keen on quick return to management

Ex-Blackburn Rovers boss Paul Lambert signals his intent to return to management sooner rather than later.

Former Blackburn Rovers manager Paul Lambert has admitted that he would like to take charge of a new club sooner rather than later.

The Scot decided to leave Ewood Park last month after a disappointing season that saw Rovers finish 15th in the Championship, but now he believes that it will 'not be hard at all' to find a new role.

"I'll wait and see. I want to get into it again. I don't find it hard at all to get another job," Lambert told BBC Sport. "It's quite seamless for myself. I can only speak for myself, but I find it no bother at all. There are already one or two things I've looked at.

"I've worked at some great clubs, but you move on and try to find somewhere else to start a project. I don't have any issues of going into a dressing room or taking a club on.

"I'm lucky that I can pick up the phone and have a look at things abroad. It depends when someone wants me. They've got to pick up the phone. I want to get into management again."

As well as Blackburn, Lambert's managerial CV includes stints at Norwich City, where he guided them to back-to-back promotions from League One to the Premier League, and three seasons at the helm of Aston Villa.
