Paul Robinson claims that Blackburn are looking upwards after beating Fulham.

Blackburn Rovers goalkeeper Paul Robinson has insisted that the club are looking upwards after beating Fulham 3-1 at Ewood Park this afternoon.

The Lancashire outfit, who were languishing at the bottom of the table after losing to fellow strugglers Bolton last month, have gone on to lose just once in their last four league games and climb out of the drop zone.

Speaking after the match, Robinson praised Blackburn's team spirit after the side were reduced to ten men in the opening stages.

"It was a huge, huge result for us," he told Sky Sports News. "Playing with ten men for over an hour against a very good Fulham team, not to win, but to deserve to win as well, I think was a huge bonus for us today.

"We took our chances. We're obviously going to be under pressure with ten men because Fulham are a very good team and create a lot of chances as they did today, but we showed a lot of strength and a lot of resilience.

"You saw the spirit. A team that's dead and buried doesn't put in a performance like that. We've got ourselves out of the bottom three at the moment and we're looking to climb higher up the table. We're looking upwards from here."

Steve Kean's side are currently outside the relegation places on goal difference.
