Blackburn Rovers have confirmed that they have offered a new deal to manager Steve Kean.
However, the Rovers board has also revealed that there is no change to the length of the contract, contrary to recent reports.
The 44-year-old, who took over at Ewood Park in December 2010, has come under pressure this season, with large sections of the Blackburn faithful calling for him to be sacked.
Despite the unrest, the club's owners have opted to hand Kean fresh terms.
"Following recent media speculation Blackburn Rovers FC can confirm a revision to manager Steve Kean's existing contract has been completed," read a statement on the club's official website. "An agreement made in the summer has now been formalised.
"Contrary to some reports there is no change to the length of the contract.
"The club respects that all contracts are private and confidential and no further comment will be made."
Rovers are currently 19th in the Premier League table.
