Blackburn Rovers striker Luke Varney has insisted that his teammates are "buzzing and ready to go" ahead of their East Lancashire derby against Burnley.
The 31-year-old, who joined Rovers on loan from Leeds United in January, started among the substitutes in last weekend's 4-0 defeat against Bolton Wanderers.
Despite the heavy loss last time out, Varney says the result has been put to one side as Blackburn aim to get their playoff push back on track.
"Saturday has been put to bed quite quickly," the former Derby County and Portsmouth player is quoted as saying by Sky Sports.
"We are experienced enough to know we let everyone down, including ourselves. But we've got a big fixture coming up this weekend so we've turned our attention to it quite quickly.
"It's quite important to keep a level head when you come up to big, fierce derbies like this but come Saturday and Sunday we'll be buzzing and ready to go."
Blackburn have not lost to local rivals Burnley since 1979.
