Blackburn Rovers striker Yakubu has admitted that he is unsure whether he touched the ball before Morten Gamst Pedersen took the corner which led to his side's second goal at the DW Stadium this afternoon.
Yakubu placed the ball on the spot but appeared to walk away. Pedersen then took a touch before crossing the ball for Junior Hoilett to convert into the Wigan Athletic net.
Referee Andre Marriner failed to spot the incident and allowed the goal to stand.
"I don't know if I touched the ball. I'm not sure. I don't think I touched it, but that's football," he told Sky Sports News.
The 3-3 draw means Wigan and Blackburn hold the bottom two places in the Premier League table.
