Blackburn Rovers manager Steve Kean has branded suggestions that his team did not put up a fight against Tottenham Hotspur last weekend as "nonsense".
The Lancashire side came under criticism for relinquishing three points against Spurs in a 2-0 defeat at White Hart Lane, despite being second from bottom in the league table.
"It hurt us that people suggested that it didn't matter and we didn't have a go," said Kean. "I do agree with the criticism that we were poor with the ball, but we will look to put that right.
"Of course the players care. To even suggest that we have players who don't care is nothing short of nonsense. We've got nothing left, we're pushing every sinew to make sure we can get points."
Blackburn go head to head in a crucial fixture against Wigan Athletic this evening.
