Blackburn Rovers manager Steve Kean has revealed that he is delighted with the partnership of Yakubu and Junior Hoilett following the team's victory over Sunderland.
Hoilett joined Yakubu in a more advanced role during the 2-0 triumph and both players managed to find the net at Ewood Park.
Kean told BBC Sport: "I think we saw the partnership of Yakubu and Junior Hoilett developing at Wolves so we stuck with that, but more impressive was the way we are working off the ball and defending.
"I'm delighted for everybody."
The victory means that Rovers have moved six points clear of the relegation zone.
Blackburn are currently 16th in the Premier League.
