There were four goals in the second half at Ewood Park as Blackburn Rovers beat Lancashire rivals Wigan Athletic 3-1 in the Championship this afternoon.
Ivan Ramis missed a penalty shortly before half time after Callum McManaman had been fouled by Alex Baptiste.
It was the outstretched leg of Baptiste that brought McManaman down, but Ramis blazed the resulting spot kick high over the crossbar on 39 minutes.
The second half saw three goals in 12 minutes and it was the Latics who struck first through James Perch.
The defender's effort squirmed through a host of bodies to creep into the net five minutes after the restart, but Ben Marshall levelled things up on 53 minutes.
Jordan Rhodes then gave the home side the lead when he beat Scott Carson with a downward header.
Marshall then extended Blackburn's lead with nine minutes remaining, with a curled effort from outside the box as Rovers took the points at home.
