Striker Chris Brown believes that his new side Blackburn Rovers are "genuine promotion contenders" next season.
Brown, who scored nine goals in 43 appearances during the last campaign, has left Doncaster Rovers to sign a two-year contract with the Championship club.
The 29-year-old told BBC Radio Lancashire: "I heard about the interest and I wanted to get it done as soon as possible. I'm delighted to have signed.
"I'm coming to a team that are genuine promotion contenders in my opinion and I want to be a part of it."
Brown has previously had spells with Sunderland, Norwich City and Preston North End.
