Blackburn Rovers have completed a deal to sign Wigan Athletic midfielder David Jones on an emergency loan.
Jones joins Rovers on a deal until the end of the season to help ease a growing injury crisis at Ewood Park.
The 28-year-old has declared that he is pleased to have a chance to play first-team football for Michael Appleton's side.
He told the club's official website: "I'm delighted to be here, Blackburn is a massive club. I want to come here and make an impact so I'm really looking forward to it.
"I thought my opportunities would be limited at Wigan for the remainder of the season and this chance arose so I wanted to take it.
"It is a good team and one that I want to try and get in and do well. It has been doing well recently, there are a lot of quality players the football club and hopefully there'll be opportunities for me to come in and help the football club achieve their aim this season."
Jones has signed in time to be included in Blackburn's squad to face Peterborough United this afternoon.
