West Bromwich Albion's assistant manager Keith Downing has revealed that the club have no plans to part with Jerome Thomas.
Blackburn Rovers manager Michael Appleton recently made it known that he would be interested in capturing the winger's services on a loan basis until the end of the season.
However, Downing has insisted that the 29-year-old will get his chance with West Brom.
"Michael had the interest before deadline day so he's just continuing that," Downing told the Express & Star. "We have a squad of 19, 20, 21 players at the very most so from our point of view Jerome has been in and around the team.
"It's a decision for Steve Clarke but, from the point of view of our squad size, Jerome is very much part of things here. Anything can happen over the next few weekends and we could be down to the bare bones."
Thomas has spent part of the current campaign with Leeds United.
