Blackburn Rovers striker Yakubu has reportedly flown to China to complete the final touches of a transfer to Guangzhou R&F.
The 29-year-old has been constantly linked with a switch to the Chinese outfit following Blackburn's drop into the Championship at the end of last season.
It is understood that the frontman's representatives have been in negotiations with Guangzhou in recent weeks and a deal reportedly worth £5.7m a year will be completed in due course, according to BBC Sport.
Yakubu netted 17 goals for the Lancashire side last season.
