Blackburn Rovers striker Yakubu is close to joining Chinese side Guangzhou R&F, according to the club's vice president.
The Nigerian international has expressed his desire to leave Ewood Park following Rovers' relegation to the Championship last season.
The 29-year-old is now expected to sign a deal with Guangzhou that would see him earn around £5m per year.
"[The deal is] 99% done," The Sun quotes Lu Yi as saying.
Yakubu joined Rovers in August 2011 from Everton on a three-year deal.
