Bologna owner Albano Guaraldi has announced that he is ready to sell his majority stake in the Emilia-Romagna club.
The 54-year-old construction mogul, who was approached by former supremo Giovanni Consorte in an attempt to rescue the Rossoblu from financial oblivion in 2010, has said that he regrets his decision to invest.
"If the right offer comes along, I'm ready to step down," Guaraldi told La Gazzetta dello Sport.
"If I could go back, I probably wouldn't make the same decision to buy a majority stake in the club. If a serious buyer comes along, I'm ready to sell Bologna."
Guaraldi was elected president in 2011 but his relationship with the fans has soured following the sales of high-profile players, such as Gaston Ramirez and Saphir Taider.
Supporters protested before last month's 2-2 draw with Sampdoria, and Guaraldi sees no way of rebuilding a rapport.
"I accepted the presidency inspired by the enthusiasm of the shareholders but without thinking I would raise the expectations of the fans, the same supporters who are now protesting against me," he added.
"As of today, I really cannot tell you how to repair the relationship with part of the fanbase."
Bologna sit 17th in Serie A with one point from two games.
