Bolton Wanderers and Wigan Athletic are playing out a goalless draw in this afternoon's FA Cup third-round clash at the Macron Stadium.
The first chance of the game fell to the hosts after nine minutes, Liam Trotter's ball slipping through to Liam Feeney, but opposition goalkeeper Ali Al-Habsi rushed off his line quickly to thwart the effort.
Just three minutes later, Bolton had the ball in the back of the net as Trotter converted a rebound from Zach Clough's header, but much to the displeasure of the home crowd, the flag went up and the officials ruled out the goal.
Neil Lennon's charges continued to mount the pressure and came close again when David Wheater's header whizzed past the left-hand post.
Wigan, however, weathered the storm and, despite further chances by Heskey, Trotter and Feeney, the hosts were unable to break the deadlock by half time.
