Bolton Wanderers manager Owen Coyle has revealed that he has held a "brief" conversation with Fabrice Muamba.
The 23-year-old midfielder is currently receiving treatment in the intensive care unit of the London Chest Hospital after suffering a cardiac arrest during a match against Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday night.
Muamba has made "small improvements" over the past 48 hours, including being able to converse with his family and Bolton teammates.
"I've had a brief conversation with him which will remain between us," Coyle told reporters outside the hospital in Bethnal Green. "There is still a long way to go but that's really positive."
Muamba has also been visited by a number of Bolton players today, including captain Kevin Davies, Nigel Reo-Coker, Mark Davies and Darren Pratley.
