Bolton Wanderers manager Neil Lennon has accepted the blame for his team's 3-0 defeat at Middlesbrough.
The game was over by half time after a double from Spanish striker Kike added to Diego Fabbrini's long-range effort.
Lennon, who opted for a back three, told reporters: "Blame me. I got the formation wrong. It won't happen again.
"We let Middlesbrough dictate and dominate the game. Communication was wrong, positions were wrong. It stops at my door."
The Lancashire side are without a win so far this season, and suffered the ignominy of being knocked out of the Capital One Cup by Burton Albion in midweek.
