A late strike from James Henry earns Wolverhampton Wanderers a point against Bolton Wanderers in the Championship, with a 2-2 draw at the Macron Stadium.

An injury-time strike from James Henry cancelled out a first-half brace from Zach Clough as Wolverhampton Wanderers earned a last-gasp 2-2 draw with Bolton Wanderers at the Macron Stadium this afternoon.

The visitors went ahead after only three minutes as Nouha Dicko was picked out by Kevin McDonald, leaving the striker to finish smartly with his right foot across the face of goal.

Wanderers had a good chance to regain parity when Darren Pratley picked out loan signing Adam Le Fondre, but he could only crash an effort off target.

The home side drew level in the 23rd minute through youngster Clough, who produced an unstoppable free kick that evaded the wall and nestled into the bottom corner.

The Bolton favourite went one better just a few minutes later to give his side the lead, swivelling inside the box before firing past a helpless Ikeme to make it 2-1 to the hosts.

Le Fondre looked to impress his new fans in the second half and he had the chance to bag another for his side, although he fired straight at a grateful Ikeme, who diverted the ball wide.

Despite coming out of the traps with renewed pace, Wolves were kept quiet in the final period of the game, with Benik Afobe's shot from distance the closest that they came.

The away side should have pulled level in the dying stages through Danny Batth, only for the defender to head wide of the goal from Henry's cross.

However, the miss was not to matter too much as Henry returned with one of the last kicks of the game, taking aim from distance to unleash a powerful effort that flew into the top-left corner.
