Jacob Butterfield has left Norwich City to join Bolton Wanderers on a one-month loan deal.
The 22-year-old joined the Canaries from Barnsley in July despite not making a first-team appearance at Oakwell since December.
However, he has only made two appearances for Norwich since joining the club and Chris Hughton has allowed him a temporary move away from Carrow Road to play first-team football.
Butterfield becomes new manager Dougie Freedman's first signing since he took charge at the Reebok Stadium.
