Bolton Wanderers manager Dougie Freedman has revealed that Blackpool defender Alex Baptiste will be turning down offers from other teams to move to the Reebok Stadium.
It was reported two weeks ago that Baptiste was close to sealing a move to Bolton, but Crystal Palace have since registered an interest in the player.
However, Freedman is adamant that the 27-year-old will reject the advances of his former boss Ian Holloway.
The 39-year-old told the Bolton News: "Once everything is sorted, I am signing him as a right-back, 100%.
"He can play in other positions, but I feel that is the position where he would be of best value to the team.
"Alex will come here because he wants to be here, nothing else. He had very good offers from clubs elsewhere."
Baptiste is out of contract at Bloomfield Road.
