Eintracht Frankfurt have beaten Bordeaux 1-0 in their Europa League match this evening.
The home side came close to taking the lead midway through the first half when Henri Saivet was slipped in on goal by Nicolas Maurice-Belay, but Kevin Trapp was out quickly to block his shot.
Vaclav Kadlec should have scored for the visitors three minutes after the break when Tranquillo Barnetta's free kick found it's way to him in the box, but he couldn't find the target.
Bordeaux started to take the game to their opponents and Julien Faubert and Saivet both tested Trapp.
Soon after, Cheick Diabate wasted a great chance to score for the hosts when he latched on to a ball over the top, but could not force the ball past the keeper.
Having been under pressure for much of the game, the visitors took the lead with seven minutes left to play.
Barnetta was given room to deliver a cross to Martin Lanig, and the midfielder made no mistake to tap the ball home at the back post to give his side the three points.
