Borussia Dortmund defender Marc Bartra has revealed that he cannot wait to face Real Madrid in the Champions League on Tuesday night.
Bartra has plenty of history against Real Madrid after his six years in the Barcelona first team, but the 25-year-old now represents Dortmund after joining the club in the summer transfer window.
The centre-back has branded Tuesday's encounter "a very special game" and he is confident that his new club will overcome the 11-time European Cup winners to take control of Group F.
"An opponent like Real Madrid - we can do them damage if they don't have the ball. But we have to be vigilant on the counter and when they have the ball because if they catch you they can easily score," Bartra told Sport.
"It's a very special game. One of the great teams in Europe come defending the trophy. We know it will be very tricky. They know that in any minute they can score a goal and they never lose this faith.
"But independent of the rest, what's important for us is to go out to win to get good sensations as a group. And I hope that happens."
Bartra, who made over 103 appearances for Barcelona between 2010 and 2016, has scored once in six matches for Dortmund this season.
