Marco Reus has been left out of the Borussia Dortmund squad for Thursday's Europa League clash with Odd.
The Germany international was on the scoresheet as Dortmund started their Bundesliga campaign with a 4-0 victory over Borussia Monchengladbach at the weekend.
However, the artificial turf at the Skagerak Arena has raised concerns within the Dortmund camp after Reus took a knock to his foot, and he has been left out as a "precautionary measure" as Dortmund look to move a step closer to the group stage.
The 26-year-old is among three players who have not made the trip to Norway for the first leg of the playoff round, with Lukas Piszczek and Jakub Blaszczykowski also staying at home.
Thomas Tuchel's side face FC Ingolstadt in the Bundesliga on Sunday.
