Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Braut Haaland could be out injured until Christmas, according to a report.
The 21-year-old has missed the last four games with an ongoing hip problem, having also been sidelined at the end of September with a muscle issue.
Thorgan Hazard, Marco Reus and Donyell Malen have stepped up in Dortmund's attack in Haaland's absence, as the German side won three games in a row before defeat to Ajax in the Champions League on Wednesday night.
But the striker appears set to be out for at least another six weeks, with his father Alf-Inge Haaland telling Norwegian station TV 2: "He's doing relatively well considering the situation, but he'll be out for a little while.
"It would be a bonus if he gets some games before Christmas, but it's rather unlikely."
This would mean that Haaland would miss Dortmund's clash with Bayern Munich on December 4, with the Bavarians current leading the table by just one point ahead of the Black and Yellows.
Before his injury, the striker had scored 13 goals in 10 games for Dortmund in all competitions this season. body check tags ::
