Borussia Dortmund midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan has thanked the club's fans for a "perfect" reception on his debut last weekend.
The Armenian made his bow for Dortmund in Sunday's 2-1 win over Eintracht Braunschweig, helping Jurgen Klopp's side make it two wins from two in the Bundesliga.
Mkhitaryan believes that he has room for improvement after playing catch-up in pre-season thanks to an ankle injury, and is confident of making quick strides with regular minutes on the pitch.
He told Ruhr Nachrichten: "The crowd's [reception] was perfect. The atmosphere here is great and I do not lack support here. I'm enjoying every day.
"I am very happy, because we still won in the end. The most important thing is the three points. I was very impressed and excited before the game as it was my debut.
"I can certainly play better and I should have grabbed a goal. I hope that I'll be in better shape quickly. The injury is certainly in the past, I am fit."
The 24-year-old is in contention for his second Dortmund appearance on Friday when Klopp's side continue their league campaign against Werder Bremen.
