Roman Weidenfeller has said that he 'sees no reason' why he would not want to end his career with Borussia Dortmund.
The 34-year-old goalkeeper has been with the German outfit for 12 years, but wants to continue representing the former Bundesliga champions.
"One can never say 100%; in football anything is possible," he told T-Mobile.
"I want to play a few more years and the club has an opinion too but, in principle, it would be my wish to end my career in Dortmund.
"The club, the environment, the fans - they're all things I've grown incredibly fond of in this long time. I've been through the bad times in Dortmund, why should I not want to enjoy the good there now?"
The stopper has won two Bundesliga titles and a German Cup under head coach Jurgen Klopp.
