Borussia Dortmund have denied putting a deadline on striker Erling Braut Haaland to make a decision on where he wants his future to lay.
The 21-year-old claimed last week that the German giants were rushing him to make a decision about the next step in his career, amid links to many top European clubs, including Manchester City, Real Madrid and Barcelona.
Haaland has continued to impress in a Dortmund shirt, netting 21 times in 19 appearances across all competitions this season, along with 10 assists in 13 Bundesliga matches.
Borussia Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc told Kicker: "Erling's statements surprised us a bit. There is currently no deadline, no deadlines, and there have not even been any discussions.
"But that we want and have to have talks at some point is clear, understandable and only professional."
Haaland's current contract at Signal Iduna Park runs until 2024, which just adds value to the price tag Dortmund can put on the young goalscorer, with some reports suggesting that he could cost a total of £292m.
Since arriving at Dortmund in January 2020 from Red Bull Salzburg, Haaland has gone on to score 78 goals in 77 appearances for the club. body check tags ::
