Borussia Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc has said that it is "no secret" Erling Braut Haaland can "leave the club under certain conditions" next year.
The 21-year-old's future remains the subject of much speculation, with a host of clubs, including Manchester City, Bayern Munich, Chelsea, Barcelona and Real Madrid, said to be keen to sign the Norway international during next summer's transfer window.
Manchester United also continue to be linked with a move, and the English club's chances of a deal have seemingly been strengthened by the arrival of Ralf Rangnick at Old Trafford.
Haaland is believed to have a £63m release clause in his contract, which will become active next summer, and Zorc has admitted that BVB will be powerless to prevent the forward leaving if "certain conditions" are met.
"The fact is that we have a contract. But it is also a fact, and it's no secret, that he can leave the club under certain conditions," Zorc told Sport1.
"It is clear that we fundamentally want Erling to stay beyond the summer. And by the way, despite the pandemic, we have no economic need to sell. That is also a fact."
Haaland has again been in excellent form for his German club during the 2021-22 campaign, finding the back of the net on 14 occasions in 11 appearances, in addition to providing four assists. body check tags ::
