Borussia Dortmund goalkeeper Roman Weidenfeller has revealed that he expects to hold contract talks with the club "in a year or so".
The 34-year-old has spent the past 12 years with Dortmund, making over 300 appearances for the Bundesliga side.
With his current terms due to expire in 2016, Weidenfeller is hopeful that he can extend his stay at Signal Iduna Park.
"We are likely to discuss my future in a year or so," he told Kicker. "I am surely not going to retire in 2016, that's a fact. I am planning to go on playing for many years.
"I have been with Borussia Dortmund for more than 12 years now. This club is in my heart. I am unable to imagine playing for another club in my career."
Weidenfeller and his Dortmund teammates are back in action tonight when they travel to Galatasaray in the Champions League.
