Sports Mole previews Saturday's FA Cup fourth-round meeting between Bournemouth and Liverpool as the hosts look to spring a surprise.

Bournemouth will be looking to pull off a famous FA Cup upset on Saturday when they host Liverpool at the Goldsands Stadium.

The hosts are currently 32 places below their more illustrious opponents in the league ladder and go into the match in inconsistent form.

The only victory in their last five outings came against League Two side Burton Albion in the third round of this competition, although they have also only been beaten once in their last seven games.

The Cherries are sitting comfortably clear of the relegation zone, while a playoff charge looks unlikely, so they will have their full attention on Saturday's fourth-round fixture.

It will be the first time that the two sides have met since 1968, when Liverpool needed a replay to overcome their opponents, then known as Bournemouth & Bobscombe Athletic, in the FA Cup third round.

The visitors will be happy with a repeat of their 4-1 victory on that occasion as they look to get back to winning ways having slipped up with a 2-2 draw against Aston Villa last weekend.

The Reds recovered a two-goal deficit to make it four games without defeat, but they dropped valuable points in the Premier League title race and now sit eight points behind leaders Arsenal.

Brendan Rodgers's side have only won four away games all season and have struggled for consistency on their travels.

They are likely to field a weakened side and could give star striker Luis Suarez a rest, although Daniel Sturridge is expected to start to give him more playing time following his recent return from injury.

Rodgers will definitely be without Lucas Leiva after the Brazilian was ruled out for up to eight weeks through injury, while Daniel Agger, Jose Enrique and Mamadou Sakho are also sidelined.
