Bournemouth striker Kieffer Moore has re-joined Ipswich Town on loan for the remainder of the 2023-24 season.

Thanks to the blistering form of Dominic Solanke, 31-year-old Moore has only earned 287 minutes of Cherries football from 13 appearances under Andoni Iraola this term, scoring twice.

Moore's only two starts in the 2023-24 campaign have come in FA Cup and EFL Cup action, and from eight substitute outings in the Premier League, he has totalled just 100 minutes.

With the South Coast outfit also set to reinforce their attacking ranks with the initial loan capture of Enes Unal from Getafe, Moore has been given the green light to see out the season at Portman Road as Ipswich vie for promotion to the Premier League.

Moore previously joined Ipswich from Forest Green in January 2017 but spent just 12 months at Portman Road, during which time he made 11 appearances and was also loaned to Rotherham United.

"It's great to finally get it over the line because it's been a long time coming during the window," the Welshman told TownTV after penning his temporary deal.

"I remember my first spell here and I've gone away and worked very hard on myself during that time, so I'm delighted to be back and can't wait to get going. I was really excited when I spoke to everyone here and now I just want to meet the group, get out on the pitch and contribute."

Head coach Kieran McKenna added: "We are delighted to have signed a striker with strong Championship pedigree, as well as experience in the Premier League and at international level.

"Kieffer will bring some very important technical and physical attributes to the squad. We feel his professionalism and mentality will be an addition to the culture we already have within the group."

Finally, Tractor Boys CEO Mark Ashton revealed that Moore was Ipswich's priority for a deadline-day transfer, adding: "We're delighted to have completed a move for a player who was always our number one target.

"It's been a real team effort from a wide range of people at the Football Club, including Luke Werhun, Gary Probert and the recruitment team, while Kieran McKenna and his coaching staff have all played their parts.

"We're delighted to have got it across the line during a challenging window, with not a lot of movement across the leagues, and bring a current Premier League striker to the Club."

Moore boasts plentiful Championship experience from his spells at Bournemouth, Ipswich, Yeovil Town, Barnsley, Wigan Athletic and Cardiff City, amassing 47 goals and 14 assists in 155 matches in the division.

The 39-cap Wales international is only under contract at Bournemouth for another 18 months and could make his second debut for Ipswich when McKenna's men head to Preston North End on Saturday, aiming to consolidate their hold on second place in the table.
