Peterborough United have edged past Bradford City 1-0 in their League One clash this afternoon thanks to Kyle Vassell's second-half strike.
Peterborough's Conor Washington was in the thick of the action early on, blazing a shot over the bar before having an effort saved by Bradford keeper Jordan Pickford.
The visitors were unlucky not to go into the break with the lead at Valley Parade after a goalmouth scramble saw the ball cleared off the line.
Ricardo Santos could only glance wide from Joe Newell's cross moments later as Peterborough failed to capitalise on some slack Bradford defending.
Peterborough eventually went in front after the break. Substitute Michael Smith managed to dribble into the area and tee up Vassell, who had time and space to fire into the top corner.
Vassell then came close from a free kick before Bradford's James Hanson forced Ben Alnwick into a good late save with a powerful drive.
