Brentford manager Lee Carsley has said that David Button can be as good as former Newcastle United and Leeds United goalkeepers Shay Given and Nigel Martyn.
The 26-year-old has kept three clean sheets in the last six matches to help the Bees rise to 11th in the Championship table.
"I think he's a really good keeper," Carsley told Get West London.
"He's someone that needs to keep pushing himself every day. There's still lots to come from him as far as maturing and decision making goes - but he's got all the attributes to be a top goalkeeper.
"I've seen him at close quarters now, and I've played with a few myself like Nigel Martyn and Shay Given - and he could be on that level."
Button signed for the Griffin Park club from Charlton Athletic in 2013.
