Brighton & Hove Albion have taken a two-goal lead into the break of their League Cup third-round encounter at Burton Albion as goals from Rohan Ince and Kazenga LuaLua have given them a 2-0 advantage.
The League Two side almost went ahead after 15 minutes, but Lewis Dunk cleared off the line from Dominic Knowles's close-range shot.
However, the Championship side put themselves ahead just three minutes later when Ince nodded home from a yard out after a precise headed pass by Adam Chicksen.
LuaLua then forced Jon McLaughlin into a good save as the Championship side began to show their quality in the final third.
The diminutive striker made no mistake in the 37th minute though when he powered a long-range strike into the bottom corner after a penetrative run.
