Neal Maupay will be looking to become the highest Premier League goalscorer for Brighton & Hove Albion when they take on Norwich City at the Amex Stadium on Saturday.
The 25-year-old joined the Seagulls from Brentford in the summer of 2019 for around £20m, and he has since been the club's top goalscorer in each of the last two seasons, netting 10 goals in 2019-20 before scoring eight times last season.
Maupay currently has eight strikes to his name in 27 top-flight appearances this term, at least four more than any of his teammates, taking his overall tally for the club to 26 goals in 97 league games.
One more goal for the Frenchman would see him overtake Glenn Murray as the highest Premier League goalscorer in Brighton's history.
Maupay will fancy his chances of finding the net this weekend as his last two league goals have come against promoted teams, netting in the 2-0 home win against former club Brentford in December, before scoring in the 2-0 away victory against Watford in February.
The striker has, however, failed to score in all eight previous meetings against Norwich, the longest scoring drought against any opponent in his career. body check tags ::
