Brighton & Hove Albion manager Gus Poyet has admitted that the early goal from Will Buckley was crucial in his side's 6-1 thrashing of Blackpool.
Poyet said that scoring so early meant that Paul Ince's team did not have time to make themselves tough to break down as they had to come forward for the equaliser.
"It was probably the key of the game because Paul Ince normally has a very organised team who are very difficult to score against," The Argus quotes Poyet as saying.
"In the last six games they only conceded three goals. They had three clean sheets. So when the game goes on and on and you start panicking and you start opening up, they have got quick wingers and they become a little bit dangerous.
"It is always important in this type of game to start well."
One more win for Brighton will see them qualify for the Championship playoffs.
