Blackburn Rovers hold Brighton & Hove Albion to a 1-1 draw at the Amex Stadium.

It has finished all square between Brighton & Hove Albion and Blackburn Rovers in their Championship clash at the Amex Stadium.

The first 20 minutes was a story of Brighton domination, as Vicente's constant involvement terrorised the Rovers defence.

He saw a couple of efforts repelled by Jake Kean, while Bruno also flashed wide of the goal.

After soaking up enormous amounts of pressure, it was Michael Appleton's men who took the lead against the run of play in the 24th minute, as Scott Dann headed home from Danny Murphy's corner.

DJ Campbell could have doubled the visitors' lead just before the break, but he headed over at the back post from Markus Olsson's supply.

Rovers felt that they should have had a penalty in the 50th minute when Jordan Rhodes's shot appeared to strike Adam El-Abd on the arm, but the referee waved away the protests.

The visitors were then outraged when the referee awarded Brighton a penalty for a similar offence just five minutes later, as the the linesman flagged Olsson for handball.

Vicente stepped up and gave Kean no chance as he rifled into the roof of the net to bring his team level.

Leonardo Ulloa nearly got on the end of the Spaniard's low drive across goal, but was inches away from making contact as the hosts continued to press forward.

Rovers put plenty of men behind the ball as they sought to protect a point, which they did despite more late pressure from Brighton.
