Henrique scored the only goal of the game to fire Brisbane Roar to a 1-0 victory over Perth Glory to move to the top of the A-League.
The visitors were denied the lead in the 16th minute when Guyon Fernandez was played in behind the Roar defence, but Jamie Young came off his line to charge for the ball. The keeper collided with the forward without making contact with the ball, but the referee did not award a foul.
Brisbane threatened twice in the space of a minute as Steven Lustica fired a powerful strike at goal, but Ante Covic beat his effort away from the net. The home side then came within inches of finding the net when Dimitri Petratos angled a lofted strike towards the top corner, only to see his strike clatter off the post.
Petratos should have fired his side ahead when he collected a low ball into the box from Brandon Borrello, but he could only blast his effort over the bar from close range.
The Glory almost took the lead against the run of play before the break when a loose ball fell into the path of Marc Warren in the penalty area, but his strike was blocked on the line by Borrello.
The visitors continued to press in the second half and Michael Thwaite almost found the breakthrough with a strike from distance, but his effort was parried clear by Young.
Brisbane hit back from the scare to take the lead in the 72nd minute when Javi Hervas flicked the ball into the path of Henrique, who managed to guide his effort beyond Covic and into the net.
Petratos hit the woodwork for the second time in the match as he saw his right-footed strike hammer off the post and bounce clear.
Perth had one late chance to earn a point from the contest when they won a free kick, but Young produced a fine save to deny Nebojsa Marinkovic to seal the three points for the home side.
The Roar are two points clear at the top of the table, while the Glory sit in ninth.
